Who Is the Impostor? – find the one with a different word
Everyone gets a secret word on their phone. It is the same for all but one player, whose word is close but different – and even they don’t know it. Clues, arguments and a secret vote show whether you can find them.

How to play
- Choose the language and the discussion time, then start the game.
- Everyone sees their secret word on their phone and taps “I’m ready”. Don’t show it to anyone.
- Take turns saying one short clue about your word, out loud. The TV shows whose turn it is.
- Discuss the clues while the clock runs: who had a different word?
- Vote in secret on your phone. On a tie, the tied players give one more clue and everyone else votes again.
- The TV reveals the impostor and both words. Tap “Next round” for new words and a new impostor.
What you need
- A TV, computer or tablet with a browser – the shared screen.
- A phone with a browser for every player.
- An internet connection. Nothing to install.
Tips
- A clue should say more than “nice”, but not give the word away.
- Not sure whether you are the impostor? Listen first and give a clue that fits both possibilities.
- One tap hides the word on your phone from a neighbour’s eyes.
FAQ

Which languages?
